Hip-Life artiste, Okyeame Kwame, known in real life as Kwame Nsiah
Apau, has called on his fans to forgive ace hi-life singer, KK Fosu, for
hurling insults at him in his recent radio interview.
According to ‘Anajo y3 de’ hit-maker, KK Fosu, on Accra-based Happy FM, over the weekend, on Showbiz Xtra, said Okyeame Kwame’s career was dead.
That was when the host, Dr. Cann, asked his take on the ongoing beef between Sarkodie and Manifest.
“I wouldn’t say M.anifest and Sarkodie are fighting over a lady or
anything like that. This game, every artist wants to call themselves
bosses. Every musician that comes claims to be king.”
After describing Sarkodie and M.anifest beef as a lyrical war, he
averred that music was not just about writing lyrics for fun, “you have
to write and let people see how knowledgeable you are.”
He added that when Reggie came out everyone said he was unstoppable
till Obrafour came and Reggie said he was the one everyone should look
up to.
“And we were thinking Obrafour was going to be there forever, then
came Okyeame Kwame with ‘Woso, and called himself best rapper alive.
He continued that Okyeame Kwame’s career is dead when it comes to hip-life.
“Right now he is trying to sing,” he added.
Speaking on an Accra-based radio station to respond to the comment
made by KK Fosu, Okyeame Kwame confirmed listening to what unfolded
during that interview and pleaded with fans to forgive KK Fosu for
saying that.
According to him, that was his opinion and he will continue to do good music for his fans.
Okyeame is currently promoting his latest single with music video
‘Halleluyah’ which talks about how far he has come as an artiste.
