Some residents in Kasoa in the central region have stormed the
Electoral Commission office in the region with eggs and schnapps to
invoke curses on the EC over deletion of their names from the voter
register.
The residents claim their names have been deleted because they used NHIS to register, a situation they have denied.
The angry residents noted that, more than 1,500 names have been
deleted from the register in only one polling station in the Kai Me Bre
Downtown electoral area in Kasoa.
Some women who spoke to Adom News are threatening to embark on a
naked demonstration if their names are do not appear in the electoral
roll.

But the EC is calling for calm in the process as they work to resolve issues.
Deputy Public Affairs Director for the EC, Yussif Ayuba said the
Commission is taking all the problems into consideration and will ensure
everyone is satisfied after the process.
Meanwhile, a member of the People’s National Convention (PNC), Abu
Ramadan says he is considering going back to the court to stop the
exercise.
